Recently, gongbei Customs gate customs at Gongbei port seized a passenger using a thermos cup to hide 3 high-end watches into the country, the initial valuation of more than 770,000 YUAN.

   At about 21:20 that night, a mainland man surnamed Wei entered the country through the customs "no declaration channel" in the passenger inspection hall of Gongbei port, and was intercepted by on-site customs officers. The customs officer noticed that Wei had less luggage and shook the thermos he was carrying and found that the weight of the thermos was obviously abnormal. "When we opened the lid, we found that the filter was covered with chrysanthemum flowers. When we took out the filter, there were three watches in the hot water, all wrapped in clingfilm."

   After further inspection, the three watches were found to be expensive and high-grade watches, with a total initial valuation of 777,600 YUAN. Wei later admitted that he had collected "OEM fees" to help others bring watches into the country.

   Gongbei Customs continues to strengthen the port investigation and crack down on all kinds of smuggling activities. At about 21:50 that night, two fellow passengers were also found trying to hide 8 mobile phones in their shoes. At present the above cases have been further handled according to the provisions.
