When importing, except for iron ore and copper ore which require obtaining an import license, other mineral products do not need one. Only the export origin certificate, contract, invoice, packing list, ore pictures, composition content test reports, etc. need to be provided.
Import clearance precautions:
1. For iron ore and copper ore, an automatic import license is applied for. This license is "not one license per batch", and it can be used for multiple customs declarations. However, it must be completed before the goods arrive at the port. Otherwise, if the license is obtained after the goods arrive at the port, it will result in a large amount of overdue fees;
2. The product name must be true and accurate when declaring. For example, for copper ore, it is necessary to confirm whether it is copper ore, copper sand or copper concentrate. Different classifications have different regulatory standards and tax rates;
3. Generally, mineral products will involve laboratory testing, mainly including mineral content testing, radioactivity testing, and harmful element content testing, etc. Only when the test results meet the standards, the inspection and quarantine can be passed, and the clearance process will be completed.
Mineral ores are high-risk and sensitive goods. It is recommended to conduct tests before loading to make a preliminary judgment on the product.
